Toward WFCQ
In the WFCQ in Poland Belgium will face Denmark in the third group match.
BFF took the chance to ask a couple of questions to Jesper Schow, the
Danish national team captain.

You changed club this summer. From Hafnia FC in the Danish league for
Malmö FBC in the Swedish Division 2. How has it developed you as a player?

I think that it is a question for my coach to answer . Personally I
think that it is really motivating, for the first time in 8 years, only
focusing on playing - with no other roles such as coach, ass. coach and so
on while playing. The long physical summer practise, has also made my
start much better for the season, and overall when playing in a league
with better players and better opponents, you automatically lift your
skills to a higher level.

Denmark isn´t playing many friendly matches. How are the preparation
going? And what are you doing during the upcoming International weekend?

I think the preparation is going well. The new coach, has a good knowledge
of the players in Jutland (West side of Denmark, and has had a good chance
to see many new players also. Most importantly, it looks like a young
team, with players who really want to represent their country. In the
upcoming weekend there should be two friendly matches lined up against
Swedish opponents.

Denmark has a new coach, Glenn Wiman, what can you say about him?

I only met him a couple of times, but had the pleasure of reading his blog
when he was a coach in Frederikshavn Bulldogs. He seems like a coach who
really lives his life through floorball - and what player won´t admire
that?!. Having a person to lead Denmark with passion, is the most
important thing as I see it, in the work of lifting Denmark to a higher
level. Passion he definitely has!

Many see Denmark as favourites to take 1 of the 4 European places to the
WFC2010. What are your thoughts?

I think we should be proud to take the roll as favourites, and of course
we have all chances of playing another world cup in the A group.
We shall though be aware of, that many of the other nations have been
moving faster than DK has done the last couple of years. So we need focus
and to be willing to do what it takes on the field - then there are good
chances for success.

What do you know about Belgian Floorball?

Not much i must confess

What do you know about Polish Floorball?

Just the fact, that they have been playing better and better, and that it
will be a big and tough job to win over them, especially on home ground.

What do you know about British Floorball?

Not much i must confess

Visiting Poland in February.... any comments?

Looking forward to another good experience. If you love to play floorball,
you love representing you´r country playing floorball, even more!
